Founder of Growing Spaces, mad scientist and designer of the Growing Dome. For the last 20 years the growing domes have been an organically unfolding love affair. I am always amazed to go in my dome after a sub-zero temperature night and see the plants growing happily regardless.

Many people comment when visiting a Growing Dome for the first time: "I just want to STAY in here!" The peace and healing inside seems to be related to the cathedral-like feeling of the dome shape, the diffused light and the presence of plants growing all around, even in winter.

I am absolutely delighted to work at Growing Spaces. I get to spend my days chatting about the Growing Domes and ensuring all customers are taken care of to the best of my ability. This is incredibly easy for me, because I not only have the pleasure of eating food out of our domes on site, but my husband and I also own a 26’ dome (the perfect size in my opinion)! After almost a full year of growing veggies and feeding ourselves out of the dome, I have develped a whole new love affair with fresh food and quality time. As summer approaches I look forward to many more people discovering this wonderful food experience for themselves and a summer of camping, traveling and shooting lots of gorgeous photos with my lovely husband.

Growing Spaces is the most wonderful place to work! I’ve been a part of the team since May 2008. I’ve lived in Pagosa Springs for 8 years and love it here. When I’m not working, I enjoy camping, reading, swimming, fishing, friends and spending time with my fiance. Come by Growing Spaces and check out the domes. Everyone should have one!

I am very proud to be part of the Growing Spaces
Team. I have been working here for over
two years running the shop and making sure everyone
stays in line. When I'm not at work I enjoy
hiking and being outdoors. I really miss
my Chicago Pizza (which is the best) and hope
my cubbies win soon! Shop Dog is Theoden - he
likes to eat, sleep, run and most of all hang
with his dad!

Hub Bender Extrodinaire and otherwise know as Shop Keeper Jr. As a one year employee of Growing Spaces, I am a seeker of the definitive hub angle and local sustainable food produce. When not cutting and bending dome metal, I enjoy frailing on the banjo, sawing on the fiddle and all out rambunctous adventures in nature.

I’m a 9 year employee of Growing Spaces and I’m originally from Boston. I have done everything from lumber kits to constructing the dome and all around shop duties! I love my job and have always enjoyed working for Puja & Udgar and being a part of the Growing Space Team! When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my horses, cats, and dogs. I’m very dedicated to spreading the word about the Growing Dome and most currently I’ve sent information to the White House in hopes to get them to buy a dome! Oprah will be next on my list. I believe the sky is the limit and everyone should have a dome!

Greetings! For as long as I can remember I have made the vents for all Growing Domes. I start with the base materials and individually fabricate each vent. I find it quite rewarding that no matter where on the planet you are with your dome, so am I. All the best in your gardening endeavors as it nutures your life!

I started part-time many years ago at Growing Spaces in the shop cutting metal, which led to shop helper, pulling kits, inventory, and eventually Shop Manager. Now I’m in charge of creating and updating the drawings and installation manuals that you, the customers, receive. In my mind, I see them all complete and accurate. In reality, they’re a work in progress as things change for improvement, at times it’s painfully slow, but progress nevertheless. Please be patient with us in this regard. One day you’ll see what I see, great instructions on how to put together a great product that will give you years of enjoyment as my dome as given me!

Hi, I am Doretta and I fabricate the lumber for the 15’ - 26’ Diameter Domes. I start with 16’ pieces of lumber and cut, drill and dip each piece that becomes the frame of your dome. I handle each piece about 5 times in the process, so “we, the lumber and I” have an intimate relationship. I admire the beauty in every piece. Every piece I handle with love and I vibrate with a frequency of prosperity and gratittude. One day I was drilling holes in the bottom plate of a 22’ dome and I found ‘zero mind’. Wow. I love my job! Enjoy!
